Dr. Carolyn Young

Dr. Carolyn is the founder and President of the Community of Spiritual Discovery and Affirmative Living, Inc. and has a deep passion for helping people transform their lives. She specializes in helping people go from feeling blocked, frustrated, and dismayed to feeling clarity, confident, and enthusiastic about themselves and their lives. Her clients report that they experience breakthroughs and are finally able to create the joyful lives of which they have dreamed.

Dr. Carolyn’s interest in metaphysics began early in her life with recall of past life events and being aware of spirits. Many of her past life experiences have been validated and she frequently receives messages from spirits.

Developing a strong sense of science-based facts while expanding her understanding of Spiritual Truths aids her in bringing together Science and Spirituality, heart, mind and soul in her work of championing Spirit that is within each of us.

Dr. Carolyn uses her broad background of education, experience, knowledge, and Spiritual guidance to work with clients via the telephone, ZOOM, or in person. Additional Information about Dr. Carolyn

Dr. Carolyn is a perpetual student and educator. She earned her first degree in dental hygiene and worked in dental offices for 25 years. Working with patients provided the perfect environment to be "spirit-taught" about healing energy, the mind-body connection, power of our imagination and beliefs, and unconditional love. Spirit's guidance coupled with a sincere intention and visioning opened the doors to further studies and degrees including a PhD in Toxicology. She then worked for the US Food and Drug Administration in Food Safety.

Listening to Spirit, doing inner work, practicing gratitude, and saying affirmations guided Dr. Carolyn to her wonderful partner and husband, Jeff. They have been together since 1991 and currently reside in Florida with their two amazing and wonderful dogs, Spirit and Star.

Throughout the years of college education and careers she has continued her exploration of metaphysics, sharing her knowledge and practices, being of service and enhancing the lives of others. Some of her specialized studies include astrology, hypnosis, channeling, affirmative prayer, Oracle card reading, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). A few of her favorite teachers/authors include Terry Cole-Whittaker, Louise Hay, Ernest Holmes, Gary Craig, Eckhart Tolle, Mike Dooley, Colette Baron-Reid, Denise Linn, Dr. Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, and Dr. Joe Dispenza.

She became a Religious Science practitioner in 2000, an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church Monastery in 2012 and an ordained minister with Divine Science in 2023. September 1, 2023 she becomes a member of the board of directors for the International New Thought Alliance (INTA).

Dr. Carolyn shares her empowering messages with her spiritual community as the primary speaker and founder of the "The Community for Spiritual Discovery and Affirmative Living" (www.CSDAAL.org) which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Dr. Carolyn is committed to expanding her conscious awareness of who she is as a Spiritual Being having a human experience. She is a seeker of knowledge, practices meditation, and continues exploring the Laws of the Universe. She also enjoys a variety of creative and recreational activities. These include sewing, arts and crafts, snorkeling, extreme bocci, Yoga, Qi Gong, and traveling. She also volunteers at the local Humane Society, which she was guided to by spirit, and where she found and adopted her two dogs.
